Coorg/Kodagu

Coorg, described by the British as Scotland of India is a popular hill station. Coorg is the name of the entire district with Madikeri as the district headquarters.

Coffee and paddy are the main crops of Coorg. Cardamom, black pepper and oranges are grown as inter crops in the coffee plantation.

The ideal time to visit Coorg is between October and June. Coorg receives highest rainfall during monsoon months.

Mysore has tropical climate on the hotter side. The average maximum temperature ranges between 35’C to 31’C during summer months from April to June and average minimum temperature ranges between 16.5’C to 21.’C  between November to March. Monsoon months are between June and September
