The Nilgiri Mountain Railway is an engineering marvel. It is built by the British in 1908. The train runs between Ooty and Mettupalayam. The United Nations has declared the Nilgiri Mountain Railway as a heritage site under the Mountain railway in India. You will come across some of the most beautiful scenery on either side of the railway track during your journey between Ooty and Coonoor.
