Alleppy, is a beautiful town in the state of Kerala India. The interlinking canals formed by the backwaters of the Arabian sea has given the name Venice of the East. The most popular mode of transport that connects the palm fringed villages on the shores of the canals are the boats. As it is on the sea shore it experiences a tropical humid climate. In summer months from April to June the average maximum temperature ranges between 30-34’C and the minimum between 26-24’C. The monsoon months between June and October receives heavy rainfall. There would be 26-28 days of rain during July and August. The winter months are pleasant with maximum temperatures ranging between 28-30’C and minimum between 23-22’C.

Best time to visit Alleppy

The winter months from October to April is ideal to visit as the weather is pleasant for sightseeing and go on a houseboat cruise.
